maximum precision The best materials in the business Select Dental offers the best names in porcelain fused to metal and all ceramic restorations. Select utilizes materials which have a proven track record. While Select applauds the efforts of many laboratories in furthering new technologies, there are many examples of materials released to market only to have the material fail in the patient’s mouth. For this reason Select uses materials and equipment with a positive long standing success record. Porcelain fused to metal restorations are fabricated using either Jensen Stability or Dentsply Option alloys veneered with Vita Omega 900 porcelain. Vita Omega 900 porcelains in the Classic and 3D shade guides. This lower-fusing porcelain exhibits the positive characteristics of low-fusing ceramics without sacrificing consistent shade and coloration. Yellow-orange glass gives it warm tones in the oral environment, and small particle size gives it a dense structure and low wear on the opposing dentition. Full gold restorations utilize Jensen JMC or Dentsply G cast alloys. Select is the only dental laboratory in York with an in-house Sirona Cerec CAD-CAM system. This allows the use of your choice of Vita and Ivoclar materials to fit your needs. Implant systems such as those offered by Zimmer and Nobel-Biocare are highly recommended, yet Select has worked with most popular systems on the market and will support most systems. Turnaround time for most requests is 10 days in lab working time. This time does not include the date of the preparation, nor the date of delivery, weekends and holidays. Faster turnarounds available on a case by case basis. Select offers dental office staff training in the area of pouring dental models. This training covers the handling of impression materials, infection control of impressions, gypsum types and their uses and proper pouring techniques in creating dental models. This training is held at the Select Dental Studio facility. Please call to schedule your staff training.
